Representatives of the Special Investigation Service of Lithuania visited the Agency as part of a mission aimed at sharing their experiences in youth education and initiatives to engage young people in preventing corruption.
The mission is being implemented within the framework of the project "Support to Strengthening the Rule of Law in the Republic of Serbia" (EU Anti-Corruption and Fundamental Rights), which is jointly funded by the European Union, the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), and the Austrian Development Cooperation (ADC).
During their visit, the representatives gave presentations on a mentoring program that promotes the implementation of anti-corruption activities in schools. They introduced nine different tools designed for teaching staff and for preparing meetings with the working group. They also met with members of the Working Group for Cooperation in the Field of Preventing Corruption. This group includes representatives from the Ministry of Education, the Institute for the Improvement of Education, the Institute for the Evaluation of the Quality of Education, and the Agency. Its task is to develop anti-corruption program activities, including a manual for teachers and training programs aimed at enhancing teachers’ competences in this field.
At the meeting, the Lithuanian experts presented their country’s approach and model for anti-corruption education and collaboration with stakeholders, with the goal of providing the working group with professional and practical support, particularly through the sharing of international experiences and best practices.
