A representative of the Agency for the Prevention of Corruption participated in the 16th session of the Intergovernmental Working Group on the Prevention of Corruption, as well as in the joint meeting with the Working Group on the Implementation of the United Nations Convention against Corruption, held in Vienna from 17 to 20 June 2025.
This year’s session addressed a range of topics, including: the prevention of corruption involving organized criminal groups; good practices and challenges related to beneficial ownership information; challenges and good practices in whistleblower protection; preventing corruption in public procurement at different levels of government, including good practices, lessons learned, and challenges; effective use of information and communication technologies in preventing, detecting, deterring, and combating corruption in public procurement; incentives for the private sector to adopt integrity measures; judicial integrity and ethics; and the integrity of the criminal justice system.
