The Director of the Agency for the Prevention of Corruption, Dejan Damnjanović, met with the Head of the OSCE Mission to Serbia, Ambassador Marcel Peško, to discuss the continuation and enhancement of cooperation in the field of corruption prevention, with a special focus on joint activities planned for 2026.
During the meeting, the importance of the long-standing partnership between the Agency and the OSCE Mission to Serbia was highlighted, as well as shared commitment to strengthening institutional integrity, transparency, and the effectiveness of anti-corruption policies. Director Damnjanović thanked the OSCE Mission for its continued support and emphasized that cooperation with this international organization represents a significant pillar in the development of the Agency’s preventive mechanisms and capacities.
Special attention during the talks was given to planned activities for 2026, including the development of a curriculum for teachers in the field of anti-corruption education; the introduction of a Handbook for Teachers on Developing Anti-Corruption Awareness among Primary and Secondary School Students; as well as the preparation and further development of the Catalogue of Public Functions in the Republic of Serbia. The importance of support in strengthening the Agency's research and analytical capacities was also highlighted, along with the marking of International Anti-Corruption Day. Future cooperation in the field of assessing corruption risks in regulations was also proposed, including the development and implementation of institutional integrity plans as one of the corruption prevention measures.
The meeting also addressed the successfully implemented joint activities in 2025, which included support for preventive policies, educational programs, and the enhancement of the Agency's institutional capacities, thereby contributing to the strengthening of the corruption prevention system.
The Head of the OSCE Mission to Serbia, Ambassador Marcel Peško, reaffirmed the Mission's readiness to continue providing support to the Agency in the coming period, emphasizing the importance of youth education, corruption prevention, and cooperation with relevant institutions.
The interlocutors agreed that continued cooperation is of utmost importance and confirmed further steps aimed at the efficient implementation of planned activities and the achievement of common goals in the field of corruption prevention.
