WORK REPORT OF THE AGENCY FOR 2022 AND 2023 ADOPTED

The National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, at the First Extraordinary Session in its fourteenth convocation, adopted Work Reports of the Agency for 2022 and 2023. In accordance with Articles 38 and 39 of the Law on the Prevention of Corruption, the Agency submits a regular annual report on its work, as well as a report on the implementation of strategic documents with recommendations.

MEETING OF THE DIRECTOR WITH PRESIDENTS OF MUNICIPALITIES OF THE WEST AND SOUTH BAČKA DISTRICTS

The third in a series of meetings with the presidents of municipalities from the districts where the Agency has its regional units - Kragujevac, Niš, and Novi Sad - was held at the premises of the Agency for the Prevention of Corruption in Novi Sad. During the meeting, Director Dejan Damnjanović met with the mayor of Sombor and the presidents of 11 municipalities of the West and South Bačka districts: Apatin, Odžaci, Bač, Bečej, Vrbas, Titel, Žabalj, Temerin, Srbobran, Bačka Palanka, and Bački Petrovac.

MEETING OF THE DIRECTOR OF THE AGENCY FOR THE PREVENTION OF CORRUPTION WITH THE PRESIDENTS OF THE MUNICIPALITIES OF THE ŠUMADIJA, MORAVA, POMORAVLJE AND RAŠKA DISTRICT

After the meeting held last week in Niš with the presidents of the municipalities of Nišava, Toplica, and Zaječar districts, the director of the Agency for the Prevention of Corruption, Dejan Damnjanović, met with the mayor of Kragujevac, Nikola Dašić, and the presidents of 18 municipalities of the Šumadija, Morava, Pomoravlje, and Raška districts: Aranđelovac, Batočina, Knić, Lapovo, Rača, Topola, Jagodina, Despotovac, Paraćin, Rekovac, Svilajnac, Ćuprija, Čačak, Gornji Milanovac, Ivanjica, Lučani, Kraljevo, and Vrnjačka Banja.After the meeting held last week in Niš with the presidents of the municipalities of Nišava, Toplica, and Zaječar districts, the director of the Agency for the Prevention of Corruption, Dejan Damnjanović, met with the mayor of Kragujevac, Nikola Dašić, and the presidents of 18 municipalities of the Šumadija, Morava, Pomoravlje, and Raška districts: Aranđelovac, Batočina, Knić, Lapovo, Rača, Topola, Jagodina, Despotovac, Paraćin, Rekovac, Svilajnac, Ćuprija, Čačak, Gornji Milanovac, Ivanjica, Lučani, Kraljevo, and Vrnjačka Banja. On the agenda were topics within the Agency's competence, specifically issues of property and income declaration, conflicts of interest, and the preparation of the 4th cycle of integrity plans. There were also discussions about the training sessions that the Agency conducts in its areas of competence (ethics and integrity, conflicts of interest, lobbying, etc.), as well as the procedures carried out by the Agency. The establishment of direct contacts between public officials and the Agency's management aims to familiarize the officials with the Agency's methods of operation and to find more effective mechanisms for preventing possible violations of the Law on the Prevention of Corruption. 97. PLENARY MEETING OF THE GROUP OF STATES AGAINST CORRUPTION

18.06.2024.

The delegation of the Republic of Serbia is attending the Plenary Meeting of the Group of States Against Corruption of the Council of Europe (GRECO) in Strasbourg, from June 17–21. 2024. The First Compliance Report of the Republic of Serbia within the Fifth Evaluation Round was discussed and adopted at the meeting. This round of evaluation refers to the prevention of corruption and promotion of integrity in central government bodies (top executive functions) and law enforcement bodies.
