Due to the Violation of the Law on the Anti-Corruption Agency Public Officials Pay Six Million RSD in the Budget

logo_acas_engMarch 7, 2016 In the field of maintaining registries and control of income and asset of public officials, the Anti-Corruption Agency has filed 433 requests for initiation of misdemeanour procedures against public officials due to the violation of the Law on the Anti-Corruption Agency, i.e. 29% for the total number of procedures initiated by the Agency, in the period from April 2013 until December 31, 2015. Municipal Courts have issued first instance judgements in 210 cases. That is 48,5% from the total number of misdemeanour procedures initiated upon Agency's requests in the field of oversight of registries and income and asset control of public officials. Based on the fines upon final judgements, public officials are obliged to pay around six million RSD in the Budget.
