The Anti-Corruption Agency prepared the opinion on the Draft Law on the Anti-Corruption Agency with regard to the public discussion that ended today. Even though, the Draft Law contains significant and useful novelties, there are certain solutions which potential effects are contrary to the proclaimed aims and causes for its adoption – introduction of more clear and strict rules with regard to the responsibilities of public officials, improvement of the efficiency of the Agency functioning and strengthening of its independence, as well as with the adjustment with valid strategic documents in the field of combating corruption.
This relates to solutions with regard to the position of the employees in the Anti-Corruption Agency, prohibition of accumulation of public functions and actions of the public organs upon recommendation for dismissal.
