The Anti-Corruption Agency Board – Press Release

logo_acas_engWith regard to the Administrative Court decision that was passed on December 16, 2016, annulling the Anti-Corruption Agency Board decision as of January 21, 2013, according to which Tatjana Babić was elected the Director of the Anti-Corruption Agency, the Anti-Corruption Agency Board pointed that the decision of the Administrative Court was delivered to the Board on January 5, 2017, four years after the election of Tatjana Babić, and only after Tatjana Babić resigned on December 20, 2016, due to her appointment as a judge of the Constitutional Court, nominated by the President of the Republic of Serbia, and based upon the National Assembly proposal. Following her resignation, the Anti-Corruption Agency Board, within the legal deadline of 15 days, was obliged to issue a public competition for the election of new Anti-Corruption Agency Director, thus respecting the principle of legality of the work of the Agency.
