Continuing the series of meetings with mayors and municipal presidents, the Director of the Agency, Dejan Damnjanović, met with public officials from the Mačva District in the Šabac City Assembly.
This marks the tenth Administrative District in which such a meeting has taken place, aiming to familiarize local self-government representatives with the Agency's competencies. The meeting was attended by the Mayor of Šabac, the Deputy Mayor of Loznica, and the Presidents of the municipalities of Bogatić, Mali Zvornik, Krupanj, Ljubovija, Vladimirci, and Koceljeva.
Key topics on the agenda included the declaration of assets and income by public officials, conflicts of interest, the new cycle for preparing integrity plans, ethics and integrity training, lobbying, and procedures conducted by the Agency. As with previous district meetings, the exchange of experiences among local self-government representatives, particularly examples from everyday practice, was emphasized, with the aim of enhancing cooperation between the Agency and local governments in strengthening anti-corruption mechanisms.
The Agency for the Prevention of Corruption plans to continue this practice, expanding participation to include representatives from other state bodies and civil society organizations in the near future.
