The Director of the Agency, Dejan Damnjanović, and the Acting Director of the National Academy for Public Administration, Marina Dražić, have signed a Memorandum of Cooperation, establishing a long-term partnership aimed at enhancing the development and efficiency of both institutions.
The Agency and the National Academy are committed to building a system of ongoing cooperation through a proactive approach in the areas of corruption prevention and anti-corruption efforts, in line with the strategic documents of the Republic of Serbia. This cooperation will support the effective implementation and oversight of relevant regulations, ensuring alignment with the highest international standards, particularly those governing professional training in public administration.
The exchange of information and experiences between the Agency and the National Academy is of mutual interest when organizing various events and gatherings, and when sharing data relevant for research and drafting reports, in accordance with the provisions of the Law on Prevention of Corruption, the Law on Financing Political Activities, the Law on Lobbying, the Law on the Protection of Personal Data, and the Law on Data Secrecy, stated Director Damnjanović.
The Academy has been deeply committed to fighting corruption and mitigating its consequences. So far, more than 4,500 officials have attended 130 training sessions in this area. However, the joint task of the Agency and the National Academy is to continuously foster a culture of ethics and integrity among employees. This memorandum further strengthens our collaboration, with the aim of creating a more transparent and accountable system that fosters public trust in institutions, added the Acting Director of the National Academy, Marina Dražić, added.
The signing of this Memorandum represents another step in the Agency's ongoing efforts to engage all relevant institutions in the fight against corruption, thereby promoting the economic, social, and democratic development of the Republic of Serbia through joint, effective, and continuous coordination.
