Representatives from the Agency's Sector for International Cooperation, National Strategic Documents, Plans, and Projects participated in a round table held on Monday, October 21, 2024, at the Palace of Serbia. The event was part of the public debate on the 2024-2025 Action Plan Proposal for the implementation of the National Strategy for the Fight Against Corruption (2024-2028). Attendees included members of the Working Group responsible for drafting the Action Plan, representatives of the European Union Delegation, the Agency for the Prevention of Corruption, as well as representatives from USAID and GIZ project support.
Following the opening speeches by Bojana Šćepanović, State Secretary of the Ministry of Justice; Plamena Halacheva, Deputy Head of the European Union Delegation in Serbia; USAID representative Milena Jenova; and GIZ representative Stefan Hajek, participants were presented with the Action Plan Proposal for the 2024-2025 period.
After the introductory remarks, State Secretary Bojana Šćepanović provided a detailed presentation of the Action Plan Proposal, which is the subject of public discussion. The participants were then given the opportunity to discuss the Proposal and were invited to submit their comments, suggestions, and proposals in writing. This is to ensure that all feedback is considered during the finalization of the document.
The Agency plays a consultative role in the drafting process of strategic documents in the field of anti-corruption. In line with the Law on the Prevention of Corruption, it will also supervise the implementation of these strategic documents.
