PRESIDENTS OF MUNICIPALITIES IN THE NORTH BAČKA AND NORTH BANAT DISTRICTS MEET WITH THE AGENCY DIRECTOR

As part of ongoing efforts to enhance cooperation with local self-government units, Dejan Damnjanović, Director of the Agency, met with public officials from the North Bačka and North Banat districts in Subotica. The meeting included representatives from the City of Subotica and the municipalities of Bačka Topola, Mali Iđoš, Senta, and Čoka.

This gathering provided an important opportunity for local government representatives to share experiences, particularly focusing on practical examples from daily operations, all aimed at strengthening anti-corruption mechanisms. In the past four months, similar meetings have been held with mayors and municipal presidents from over 50 cities and municipalities across 11 administrative districts in Serbia.

Director Damnjanović highlighted the importance of strict adherence to the Law on Prevention of Corruption, the Law on Financing Political Activities, and the Law on Lobbying. Discussions covered topics such as asset and income declarations for public officials, conflict of interest, the upcoming cycle of integrity plan preparation, ethics and integrity training, lobbying, and the obligations of political entities.

Damnjanović also announced that the Agency's representatives would continue monthly visits to administrative districts, assuring participants of ongoing support in their work.
