Representatives of the Agency participated in a regional workshop dedicated to corruption risk assessment and corruption risk assessment in legislation, held in Belgrade from May 11 to May 14, 2026. The workshop was organized by the Regional Anti-Corruption Initiative (RAI), in partnership with the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime, with the support of the Austrian Partnership Programme and the Austrian Development Agency within the regional project SEE-TAC II.
The workshops focused on areas within the scope of police work and environmental protection and brought together representatives of the Ministries of Justice, Ministries of Interior, and other relevant institutions from the region.
Participants had the opportunity to exchange experiences and enhance their knowledge in the field of international standards and practices related to corruption risk assessment, identifying processes susceptible to corruption in police and security structures, the practical application of risk assessment tools and anti-corruption review of legislation, as well as improving legislation through the application of mechanisms for preventing corruption risks.
Through practical exercises and expert discussions, participants analyzed ways to further strengthen the transparency, accountability, and resilience of institutions to corruption risks, emphasizing the importance of regional cooperation and the exchange of experiences in the field of corruption prevention and the rule of law.
