DIRECTOR WITH THE MINISTER FOR JUSTICE

The Director of the Agency for the Prevention of Corruption, Dejan Damnjanović, met today with the Minister of Justice of the Government of the Republic of Serbia, Nenad Vujić. They discussed past and future cooperation in corruption prevention, as well as ways to enhance their collaboration. They agreed on the necessity of developing a system of ongoing cooperation through a proactive approach to prevent corruption, particularly in areas at high risk of corruption. This aligns with the strategic documents of the Republic of Serbia, which aim for effective implementation and monitoring of positive regulations in these areas, according to the highest international standards.

PARTICIPATION OF AGENCY REPRESENTATIVES IN AN EVENT ORGANIZED BY THE UN OFFICE ON DRUGS AND CRIME

During April, the Agency participated in events organized by the UN Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC). Representative of the Sector for International Cooperation, National Strategic Documents, Plans and Projects participated in a workshop on the implementation of the UN Convention against Corruption (UNCAC) and the review mechanism for its implementation, which was held in Vrdnik from 8 to 10 April.

PARTNERSHIPS FOR ANTICORRUPTION GLOBAL FORUM 2025

The Director of the Agency, Mr. Dejan Damjanović, represented the Republic of Serbia at the Partnerships for Anticorruption Global Forum 2025, held on April 8–9 in Washington, D.C. The Forum was organized by the World Bank, specifically the World Bank Group’s Anticorruption for Development Global Program, in collaboration with the International Corruption Hunters Alliance. It brought together more than 300 global leaders and participants from government institutions, academia, civil society, the private sector, and international organizations to collectively address the challenges posed by corruption and to enhance global efforts in promoting integrity, accountability, and transparency.

99TH PLENARY MEETING OF THE GROUP OF STATES AGAINST CORRUPTION OF THE COUNCIL OF EUROPE (GRECO) AND TRAINING FOR EVALUATORS IN THE SIXTH EVALUATION ROUND

A representative of the Agency for the Prevention of Corruption participated in the 99th Plenary Meeting of the Group of States against Corruption of the Council of Europe (GRECO), held from 17 to 19 March 2025 in Strasbourg. During the meeting, country reports from GRECO’s Third, Fourth, and Fifth Evaluation Rounds were reviewed and adopted in accordance with the meeting’s work program.

FIRST MEETING OF THE WORKING GROUP ON COOPERATION IN THE FIELD OF CORRUPTION PREVENTION HELD
21.03.2025.

Based on the Agreement on Cooperation in the Field of Corruption Prevention, signed between the Ministry of Education, the Institute for the Improvement of Education, the Institute for the Evaluation of the Quality of Education, and the Agency, the first meeting of the working group was held today. The meeting was attended by representatives of all institutions that are signatories to the Agreement.

THE AGENCY SUBMITS REPORT TO THE NATIONAL ASSEMBLY

In accordance with the Law on the Prevention of Corruption, the Agency submitted its Annual Work Report for 2024 and the Report on the Implementation of the Revised Action Plan for Chapter 23 – Subchapter: Fight against Corruption for 2024 to the National Assembly.
